Airport graphics

When travelling through the airport I noticed a number of wall murals through the departures area. As one of last years projects involved large scale graphics, they have intrigued me since.

These simple line drawings are so effective, and in combination with the limited colour palette work really nicely. The icons work well to further illustrate the meanings of the text, without overpowering the composition.

I also liked this 3D element, with backlighting that really emphasises the typography and makes it stand out much more than it would without. It makes me appreciate that simple things such as lighting can make a big difference to the way that graphics can be viewed.
