Flat Design Illustrations

This is something that I starting to see more and more throughout my Instagram feed as an increasingly popular style choice. The translation of everyday objects into flat, icon-like designs with a very clearly digital aesthetic.

The examples that I favour the most have thick recognisable lines with an emphasis on the curves in the image, and dashed or dotted lines. I would quite like to try this style on some images in illustrator, and become more familiar with the tools in this program, improving my skills.
